Wareham Man Sent To State Prison On Possession With the Intent To Distribute Fentanyl Charges

BROCKTON – A Wareham man pleaded guilty to charges that he possessed with the intent to distribute Fentanyl, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced,

Late yesterday, Marcus Agee, 27, pleaded guilty to one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl Over 10 grams, Possession with Intent To Distribute Class B, Adderall, Subsequent Offense, and Resisting Arrest. Plymouth Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Locke sentenced Agee to serve 2-3 years in State Prison.

As part of an investigation into drug distribution, Wareham Police developed information that Agee was in possession of a large amount of Fentanyl. On September 29, 2020, Wareham Police observed Agee pull into the parking lot of Cranberry Plaza and activated their emergency lights. As Wareham Police approached the vehicle, Agee grabbed a back pack from the passenger side of his vehicle and fled. Police were able to stop Agee and place him under arrest as he actively resisted. In a search of Agee’s backpack, police found four bags of Fentanyl, three Adderall tablets, a digital scale and gloves.

Assistant District Attorney Brian Fahy prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Wareham Police.
