BROCKTON – State Police and Wareham Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 70-year-old man found shot to death in his Wareham home, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Wareham Police Chief Kevin Walsh announced today.
At approximately noon Tuesday, Wareham Police received a request for a well-being check at 120 Glenn Charley Road in Wareham. Upon arrival, police found an unresponsive man inside the home, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim has been identified as John Williams (DOB: 04/13/45) of Wareham.
Wareham Police contacted State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office who commenced an investigation and that remains active and ongoing.
The victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy where the exact manner and cause of death will be determined. There does not appear to be any threat to the general public at this time.
