Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz is committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive climate both inside the office, and within the communities that he serves.
It is for this reason DA Cruz formed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Unit, to focus on fostering trust within our community and our office, along with ensuring that our office supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
The DEI Unit is proactive in understanding unconscious bias and how to best counteract it. The DEI Unit is dedicated to eliminating policies and procedures that improperly impact minority and underrepresented groups and individuals. The DEI Unit works with the community to understand and address their needs and issues, and to create initiatives geared toward eliminating disparities and inequities in society today.
As an extension of this Unit, DA Cruz has created an internal Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the District Attorney’s Office, to encourage and embrace diversity, promote engagement, innovation, and and to maintain a climate for inclusion where all individuals feel welcomed, valued, respected, and where differences are embraced.
