U.S. Marshalls Offer $7,500 For Information Leading To Arrest Of Double Homicide Suspect

BROCKTON – The U.S. Marshals and Massachusetts State Police have renewed a request for the public’s help for information leading to the arrest of the suspect wanted for fatally shooting two teens in Brockton, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

            Davinci Leonard, now 23, is wanted for a double homicide in Brockton, and is charged with two counts of Murder, and one count each of Discharging a Firearm within 500 feet of a Dwelling, Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, and Carrying Ammunition without an FID card. Leonard is accused of killing 15-year-old Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez.

On March 22, 2025, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report of a shooting outside the Chipotle located at 500 Westgate Drive. Upon arrival, first responders located two victims, a male and a female, suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. The male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. He was identified as Albertson. The female victim was medflighted to Massachusetts General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as Alvarez.

            Leonard fled the scene, and since that day authorities have been searching for him and gathering information about his whereabouts. To date, the extensive investigation by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police, has included numerous witness interviews, a review of video surveillance footage, and an extensive canvass of the scene. Investigators developed information and sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Leonard. The Commonwealth Fusion Center composed a BOLO bulletin that was distributed to area-wide law enforcement agencies.

David Mosley-Lott, 32, of Quincy and Jaylen Speed, 24, of Dorchester were both arrested and have been indicted on charges in the double homicide for their alleged involvement in helping Leonard evade justice. Mosley-Lott is charged with one count each of Accessory After the Fact and Intimidation of a Witness, while Speed is charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact.

The U.S. States Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to Leonard’s arrest. Brockton Police and the Massachusetts State Police are relentlessly pursuing any leads which may result in the successful capture of Leonard.
