“I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way and show compassion, it will start a chain reaction of the same.
People will never know how far a little kindness will go.”

Rachel Joy Scott

Rachel’s Challenge is a powerful presentation based on the life of Rachel Scott, the first person killed in the Colombine High School Shooting on April 20, 1999.

The program encourages students, parents and other adults in the community to show kindness to others with the goal of starting a chain reaction.

At its inception, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office sponsored presentations to schools across Plymouth County.  Currently, these programs are funded through parent organizations and community grants.  This program continues in Plymouth County as a component of various school district’s anti-bullying plan.
