Cybersense Presentation to Silver Lake Regional Middle School-March 10, 2026
Assistant Principal Don Rothemich welcomed Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth O’Connell to Silver Lake Regional Middle School to share our CyberSense program with parents and caregivers at their annual Curriculum Night. -
2026 Annual Handle with Care Conference
Today we held our 2026 Handle with Care conference at Bridgewater State University. Our thanks to Assistant Vice President for Student Life, Dr. Christopher Frazer for kicking things off.Dr. Leslie Sattler, PH.d, from Bridgewater State University and the Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Program handlers shared research on the impact comfort dogs have, especially on children exposed to trauma, and their positive impact on school climate at our 2026 Handle With Care Conference.
Carver Superintendent Scott Knief and Adjustment Counselors Nicole Bartlett and Sean Sullivan discussed how Carver has implemented Handle with Care.
Marcus Puleo from our Office’s Children’s Advocacy Center shared the trauma informed practices we utilize to investigate child abuse.

District Attorney Cruz visits Pinehills to Inform Residents of Recent Scams
District Attorney Cruz discussed scams and financial fraud, and ways to protect yourself with residents of the Winslowe’s View Community at Pinehills. Thank you to Dr. Richard Moriarty from the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Committee for organizing today’s info session.

Rucks 2 Pucks 2026 Annual Charity Hockey Game
District Attorney Cruz and is proud to support Rucks 2 Pucks in breaking the ice on veteran suicide.
DA Cruz and Sheriff McDonald laced up their skates and joined the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Hockey team as they took on the Rucks 2 Pucks in an exhibition game.

Cocoa & Cram-Rockland High School
Our Plymouth County Comfort Dogs were invited to join Rockland High School’s staff for a Cocoa & Cram session. The Cocoa & Cram Session is an opportunity for students to get together in the school library to study for their upcoming midterms. The school provided snacks, drinks and hot cocoa for the students. Our comfort dogs were on hand to allow the students to take a break from the stressors of studying and relax by interacting with the dogs before getting back on track.Special thanks to our comfort dog teams: Kinley & Officer Schnabel (Rockland), Blue & Officer Billings (Scituate), Opry & Officer Ford (Hingham), Morgan & Officer Connor (East Bridgewater), Lexi & Det. Baptiste (Wareham) and Nola & Sgt. Harrington (Whitman)

The Annual Teddy Bear Toss at Bridgewater Ice Arena
District Attorney Tim Cruz and our Plymouth County Comfort Dogs were on hand for a training at the Bridgewater Ice Arena as the Middleboro/Carver/Wareham Sachems took on the East Bridgewater /West Bridgewater/Cardinal Spellman Co-Op hockey team at the annual Teddy Bear Toss Fundraiser Game. Friends and Supporters brought stuffed animals to toss onto the ice. The stuffed animals were collected and will be donated to our area first responders to assist children involved in traumatic events.

Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Presentation and Meet & Greet at St. Bridget’s School, Abington

District Attorney Tim Cruz and Hanson SRO Derek Harrington presented on the Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Program to grades 1-5 students and staff at St. Bridget’s School in Abington. After the presentation, students participated in a meet & greet with Harlow, Ziva, Nola and Lainey.
