BROCKTON – Two men are under arrest and police seized trafficking amounts of Fentanyl, Cocaine and more than $25,000 in cash after a four-month investigation into drug distribution within the City of Brockton, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
From January through April, 2021, members of the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office,W.E.B. Major Crimes and Drug Task Force, along with Brockton Police, conducted an investigation into narcotics distribution occurring in Plymouth County. As a result of the investigation, detectives determined that Delvin Abreu, 22, and Malik Miller, 23, as individuals distributing Fentanyl from their Brockton residences — Abreu at 77 Carroll Avenue, and Miller at 103 Pine Grove Drive.
The Plymouth County DA’s Office Narcotics Unit and W.E.B. Task Force sought and obtained knock and announce search warrants out of Brockton District Court for those addresses. Yesterday, at approximately 11:55 a.m., members of the Plymouth County State Police Detectives Unit, W.E.B. Task Force, and the Brockton Police Department executed warrants at the two addresses. Abreu was located in the driveway at 77 Carroll Avenue after investigators observed him leave the residence. Miller was located on the stairwell inside 103 Pine Grove Drive.
Investigators seized amounts of suspected Fentanyl and cocaine and approximately $25,000 during the search of 77 Carroll Avenue.
At 103 Pine Grove Drive, investigators additionally seized amounts of suspected Fentanyl and cocaine. They also located an amount of Xanax pills in the residence.
As a result, Abreu and Miller were placed under arrest and will be arraigned on Monday in Brockton District Court. Abreu is charged with two counts of Distribution of a Class A Substance, Fentanyl, and one count each of Trafficking in a Class A Substance, Trafficking in a Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class E, Xanax, and Conspiracy.
Miller is charged with one count each of Trafficking in a Class A Substance, Trafficking in a Class B Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class E Substance, Xanax, and Conspiracy.
