BROCKTON – Massachusetts State Police and Bridgewater Police are investigating a single motor vehicle crash where a pedestrian was struck and killed, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 5:15 p.m. yesterday, Bridgewater Police responded to Route 104 and Vernon Street in Bridgewater for a single motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash. Bridgewater emergency medical services transported the female victim to Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, where she died as a result of her injuries. She has been identified as 55 year-old Lee Marie Hagerty, of Bridgewater.
Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office were contacted and an investigation commenced.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. The 63 year-old male driver of the motor vehicle, a Honda CRV, stopped at the scene.
