Rochester TRIAD’s St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon 2024
Still celebrating ☘️ at the Rochester Council on Aging St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon today.
Thank you to the COA Volunteers who went above and beyond in preparation of today’s gathering.
I was honored to present a Community Reinvestment mini-award to Rochester COA on their newest initiative.
Our office is proud to support COA Director Eric Poulin and their new “Cruise and Lunch” program, that will transport seniors who do not normally leave their homes out and around in town.

Wareham TRIAD- Coffee with the DA and the Comfort Dogs Roxy and Starr- January 2024
Halifax Police Comfort Dog Roxy and Comfort Dog Starr from the Sheriff’s Department pawsed to strut their stuff for seniors at Wareham Council on Aging today at our monthly Wareham TRIAD meeting.
Today’s TRIAD theme was Coffee with the DA and Comfort Dogs.
Those in attendance were treated to a 2024 Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Calendar. Roxy is July’s featured dog and Starr is November’s.

East Bridgewater TRIAD- Coffee with the DA and Comfort Dog Morgan- January 2024
East Bridgewater Police Department’s Community Resource Dog Morgan brightened the day for seniors attending today’s East Bridgewater TRIAD meeting.
Our thanks to East Bridgewater Police Officer Tallitha Connor for making Morgan a dedicated member of our Plymouth County Comfort Dog Program.
Those in attendance received Morgan’s trading card, as well as a Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Calendar.

Our Plymouth County Comfort Dogs, Roxy from Halifax, Sasha from Pembroke, Sasha from Plympton Police Departments and Starr from the Sheriff’s Department entertained seniors.

Today seniors at Rochester Council on Aging watched “Tinder Swindler,” a British true crime documentary about the issue.

Valentine’s Day at the Rochester TRIAD 2023
Met with seniors today at the Rochester Council on Aging.
Using Valentine’s Day to discuss romance scams and protection so those looking online for companionship don’t see red after being had by a scammer.
Our Community Engagement team distributed Valentines for Seniors Resource Cards, with vital phone numbers to help keep our seniors safe. ❤️

Spoke to the Wareham TRIAD at the Wareham Council on Aging this Valentine’s Day to show seniors how to protect themselves from being romanced by scammers. Our Community Engagement team distributed Valentines for Seniors Resource Cards, with vital phone numbers to help keep our seniors safe.

Kelly embarks on a new career as the town of Barnstable’s Council on Aging Director.

Marshfield TRIAD Re-Commitment Ceremony- May 2022
Marshfield TRIAD renewed their commitment to the program today.
Liam Rooney from Marshfield PD, Marshfield Fire Chief Jeff Simpson, Sheriff Joe McDonald, Marshfield COA Director Carol Hamilton and I all signed the Plymouth County TRIAD agreement.
Great to meet with Marshfield seniors at the newly renovated senior center.

East Bridgewater TRIAD SALT Breakfast- May 2022
Hotcakes with a side of hot takes as we presented our office’s CyberSense online safety training to seniors at the East Bridgewater TRIAD’s annual S.A.L.T. breakfast.
East Bridgewater’s own Police and Fire Departments as well as the District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Department were on hand to cook and serve a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs.
Immediately following the breakfast, District Attorney Tim Cruz and Assistant District Attorney, Amanda Fowle talked to the seniors about scams, safety and sensibility when interacting with the
Internet.ADA Fowle has been handling cyber crimes for over 5 years for the Plymouth County District Office.

District Attorney Tim Cruz addressed the seniors of East Bridgewater at their TRIAD’s annual pancake breakfast. Topics of Discussion included recent scams and how to protect your identity.

Middleboro, MADistrict Attorney Cruz was invited to speak to the residents of Oak Point regarding recent scams, cyber security, personal safety, and a variety of other topics of special interest to seniors.
DA Cruz also discussed the many ways the Plymouth County Drug Abuse Task Force is working for residents. He spoke about aiding drug endangered children in schools, resources for grandparents raising grandchildren and the importance of the Drug Take Back Day, and ridding your home of unwanted or expired medications.

Marshfield TRIAD
A forum about TRIAD and it’s S.A.L.T. Council was held on February 8, 2017 at the Marshfield Council on Aging.
Representatives from the District Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Department, the Police Department the Fire Department and the Visiting Nurse Association served on the panel to discuss what their role is for TRIAD, and to answer questions from the audience.
Several Marshfield seniors attended the event and asked the panel insightful questions.

The Plympton Carver TRIAD’s 11th Annual Holiday Luncheon was held on December 14, 2016 at the Upland Sportsman’s Club in Plympton. District Attorney Tim Cruz was invited to address the TRIAD about Public Safety Issues.

Bridgewater Public Safety Luncheon for Seniors
District Attorney Timothy Cruz, Sheriff Joseph McDonald and State Representative Angelo D’Emilia hosted the Annual Bridgewater Public Safety Luncheon for Seniors.
Approximately 100 seniors turned out for the event, and received a packet filled with valuable information.
Topics of discussion included:

Plympton-Carver Triad visit to the Plymouth County Farm & Horticultural Center
Sheriff Joe McDonald invited the members of the Plympton-Carver Triad to visit the Plymouth County Farm and Horticultural Center.
The Triad Members were treated to lunch, a tour of the Horticultural Center, the Petting Zoo and a hayride tour around the County Farm.

Annual Public Safety Luncheon for Seniors
The Annual Public Safety Luncheon for Seniors was held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Conference Center at Massasoit.
District Attorney Tim Cruz was joined by Sheriff Joe McDonald, Director of Elder Services for the Plymouth Council on Aging-Conni DiLeggo, , and Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham. Seniors from communities all across Plymouth County were invited to attend.
The topic for this year’s luncheon was the Opioid Crisis.

The Lakeville Council on Aging hosted a Public Safety Fair on September 27, 2016. The District Attorney’s Office participated to offer valuable information and resources to the seniors in the Lakeville community.
