Rockland Couple Indicted on Oxycodone, Cocaine Trafficking Charges

BROCKTON – A Rockland couple was indicted today on drug trafficking charges, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

A Plymouth County Grand Jury today returned indictments against Robert Miranda (DOB: 09/02/82) and Brooke Anthony (DOB: 06/07/80), both of Rockland. The indictments charge the couple with one count each of Trafficking in Oxycodone, 36 Grams or More and Less than 100 Grams, Trafficking in Cocaine, 200 Grams or More, Possession of a Class B Drug, -Methamphetamine, Possession of a Class E Drug -Testosterone and Testosterone Cypionate, and Possession of a Class E Drug – Boldenone and Boldenone Undecylenate.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2017, an arrest warrant for Miranda was issued out of Stoughton District Court for contraband recovered from a storage unit he owned that was located in Avon. A second search warrant was issued out of Brockton District Court for Miranda’s home at 8 Winter Street in Rockland. Brooke Anthony also resided at that address.

At approximately 8:50 pm, members of the Massachusetts State Police STOP Team executed the warrant at the Rockland address and arrested Miranda without incident. State Police secured a clear plastic bag from Miranda’s clothing which contained 31 pills which was analyzed by a forensic scientist at the Massachusetts State Police Crime Laboratory and found to contain Oxycodone.

Inside the home, State Police located a safe containing one large bag and several smaller bags of a white powdery substance which tested positive for cocaine. Also in the safe, police found two soda can hides, which held several bags of pills and a bag containing a crystal-like substance which tested positive for methamphetamine, and two glass vials in a prescription bottle which contained a clear liquid substance. That substance was found to contain Testosterone and Testosterone Cypionate, and Boldenone and Boldenone Undecylenate. Police additionally seized a money counter, drug cutting agent, five cell phones, $18,700 in cash, and various packing materials consistent with the packaging of narcotics, from the home.

Miranda and Anthony will be arraigned in Brockton Superior Court on the charges at a later date.

Assistant District Attorney Mary Nguyen is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, Brockton Police and Rockland Police.
