BROCKTON – A Brockton man has been sentenced to time in State Prison after a jury convicted him today on Aggravated Rape charges, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

After a day-long trial in Brockton Superior Court, a jury deliberated an hour and a half before finding Cameron Hill (DOB: 05/19/91) guilty of two counts of Aggravated Rape. Judge Richard Chin sentenced Hill to serve 12-16 years on each of the charges, to run concurrent.

In late April, 2016, Brockton Police began an investigation into a sexual assault allegation against Hill, by a female, juvenile victim. Brockton Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Family Protection Unit conducted interviews with the victim who reported that on two separate occasions, one in 2015 and one in 2016, Hill, who was the victim’s stepfather, sexually assaulted her. Hill was arrested on May 27, 2016 by Brockton Police.

Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Beth Kusmin prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Brockton Police.
