Brockton Man to Face Drug Charges

BROCKTON – A 48-year-old man is under arrest, charged with trafficking Fentanyl and Cocaine in the City of Brockton, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced today.

Just after 6:00 am this morning, State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office arrested Jesus Ayala (DOB: 03/12/70) of Brockton, at his residence at 50 Hamilton Oaks, Apartment 309 in Brockton. Ayala is scheduled to be arraigned today in Brockton District Court on Trafficking a Class B Controlled Substance, Fentanyl, Trafficking a Class B Controlled Substance, Subsequent Offense, Cocaine and a School Zone Violation.

During this month, members of the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office conducted an investigation into Heroin, Fentanyl and Cocaine distribution occurring within the city of Brockton. As part of that investigation, Ayala was identified as a distributor of narcotics to customers and was found to be storing them at his residence at 50 Hamilton Oaks, #309 in Brockton.

As a result of the investigation, State Police sought and received a search warrant for the residence from Brockton District Court. This morning, at approximately 6:00 am, State Police, with assistance from Brockton Police, executed that warrant and Ayala was placed under arrest without incident.

A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 44 grams of suspected Fentanyl, approximately 70 grams of suspected Cocaine and approximately $3,900 in cash. State Police also seized drug manufacturing equipment, miscellaneous paperwork and cell phones.

The investigation was conducted by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, the State Police Gang Unit, State Police Commonwealth Intrastate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team and Brockton Police.
