BROCKTON — The man killed when a tree fell on his vehicle in Plympton during yesterday’s storm has been identified, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 5:15 pm on Friday, Plympton Police received a 911 call from a resident reporting that a tree had fallen on top of a motor vehicle in the vicinity of 100 Cedar Street. Police and emergency crews responded and found the driver and sole occupant in the Dodge Ram pickup truck trapped and crushed by a large pine tree on the vehicle’s roof. The driver was determined to be deceased on scene, and has been identified as Ryan MacDonald (DOB: 11/19/81) of Plympton.
No foul play is suspected. Plympton Police and State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office conducted the investigation.
