BROCKTON – A Raynham woman has been indicted on a charge that she embezzled more than $100,000 from a local construction company, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

Today, a Plymouth County grand jury returned an indictment charging Kaitlyn  Chambers, 37, with four counts each of Larceny over $1,200 and Tax Evasion.

The indictments follows a lengthy investigation by Wareham Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. A family member of Chambers owns and operates R. Morgan Construction Company in East Wareham. In 2014, Chambers was hired to be the company bookkeeper. The indictment alleges that over the course of four years, Chambers stole approximately $112,000 from the company.

Chambers will be arraigned on the charge in Brockton Superior Court at a later date.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Alex Zane, and was investigated by Wareham Police.
