BROCKTON – A man charged in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Lakeville has been held pending the outcome of a dangerousness hearing, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

Massachusetts State Police and Lakeville Police have been investigating an officer-involved shooting that left 45 year-old Timothy Hladik of Lakeville, wounded. As a result of the investigation, MSP and Lakeville Police sought and obtained an arrest warrant and charged Hladik with two counts each of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Threat to Commit a Crime.

Today, at Hladik’s arraignment from his hospital bed at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, the Commonwealth moved for a dangerousness hearing, which was allowed, and scheduled for noon on October 12. Hladik is being held without bail until that hearing.

The investigation is ongoing by Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Lakeville Police.
