BROCKTON – A man wanted for the 2023 murder of a Quincy man has been taken into custody, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
Members of the MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), with assistance from the MSP Critical Technical Investigations Team, tracked Kahmari T. Price, 17, to an address on West Boylston Street in Worcester, and he was taken into custody this morning without incident at 9:41 a.m.
Kahmari Price pleaded not guilty today in Brockton District Court to one count of Murder. He was held without bail.
At approximately 10:27 p.m. on February 26, 2023, a Brockton Police officer on routine patrol heard a gunshot in the area of North Main and Spring Streets. Members of the Brockton Police Department responded to the scene, and in front of 54 North Main Street, discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He was identified as Mark Boyd, 33, of Quincy.
Brockton Police contacted Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. As a result of the investigation, Brian Price, 41, of Brockton, was arrested on a charge of Witness Intimidation. He pleaded not guilty to the charge. Price was arraigned on an additional charge of Accessory After the Fact to Murder, and pleaded not guilty.
Price’s wife, Tara Stone-Price was also charged and pleaded not guilty to one count of Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
Kahmari Price fled the area and was at large until his arrest this morning. He is next scheduled to appear in court on May 1, 2024.
