PLYMOUTH – An East Bridgewater man was arraigned today on charges stemming from an incident earlier this month where he is accused of taking inappropriate photos of a child while at work, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
Bradley Collins, 20, was arraigned in Plymouth District Court on charges of Indecent Assault & Battery on a Child Under 14, Photographing Sexual or Intimate Parts of a Child, and Child in Nude, Lascivious Pose/Exhibit. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released after posting $15,000 cash bail. Collins was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the victim in this case, have no contact with any underage children, stay away from the Plymouth Boys and Girls Club and was placed on GPS monitoring with a curfew of 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The Commonwealth had requested Collins be held on $25,000 cash bail.
On August 12, Plymouth Police were alerted to an incident which had occurred the previous day at a summer camp at the Plymouth Boys and Girls Club. Investigators found credible reports that Collins — who was employed by the camp — had inappropriately photographed a young child before instructing the child not to tell anyone what had occurred. Collins changed his version of events numerous times during an interview with investigators at the Plymouth Police Department and initially denied having taken photos during the incident. He later stated he had in fact taken photos during the incident.
Collins is next scheduled to appear in court on October 2 for a probable cause hearing.
