BROCKTON – One man was killed and another injured in a two car crash in Brockton Friday night, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 7:22 pm on Friday, Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle crash at 536 East Street. Brockton Police, Fire and Brewster EMS responded and found a two-vehicle crash involving a blue Ford F-150 truck and red Saturn sedan. The operator of the truck was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with non-life threatening injuries. He is not being identified at this time. The operator of the red Saturn had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Brockton Hospital before being transferred to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:51 am this morning. He has been identified as 54-year-old Jorge Leite of Brockton.
Brockton Police contacted State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. The investigation is ongoing.
