BROCKTON – An arrest warrant was issued for a fugitive from justice accused of committing a brazen double homicide, and two others were arraigned on charges they aided the suspect in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shootings, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

Davinci Leonard, 22, was indicted in late June on two counts of First-Degree Murder, and one count each of Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card, and Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling. Leonard, who is accused of killing 15-year-old Tymari Albertson and 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez, has yet to be apprehended. The United States Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Leonard’s arrest

David Mosley-Lott, 32, of Quincy and Jaylen Speed, 24, of Dorchester were both arrested in the months following the double homicide for their alleged involvement in helping Leonard evade justice. Both defendants were arraigned today after being indicted in Superior Court late last month.

Mosley-Lott is charged with one count each of Accessory After the Fact and Intimidation of a Witness, while Speed is charged with one count of Accessory After the Fact. Both defendants were held on $50,000 cash bail, placed on GPS monitoring, ordered to home confinement if released, and ordered to stay away and have no contact with any witnesses in his case.

On the evening of March 22, Brockton Police received a 911 call for a report of a shooting outside the Chipotle located at 500 Westgate Drive. Upon arrival, first responders located two victims — Cevannah Alvarez, 18, and Tymari Albertson, 15 — suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims succumbed to their injuries following the shooting. Preliminary investigation into the homicides by Brockton Police and the Massachusetts State Police identified Leonard as the shooter.

Through efforts to locate and apprehend Leonard, investigators learned Mosley-Lott and Speed were in contact with the homicide suspect in the days following the fatal shooting.

Brockton Police and the Massachusetts State Police are relentlessly pursuing any leads which may result in the successful capture of Davinci Leonard. If you have any information which may lead to the capture of Davinci Leonard please contact Massachusetts State Police at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873).

Speed is next scheduled to appear in court on August 13, while Mosley-Lott is scheduled to appear in court the following day.
