The District Court Division of District Attorney’s Office prosecutes adult criminal misdemeanors and minor felonies in the District Courts.
The District Court Division also prosecutes all juvenile offenders which fall under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Courts.
The Juvenile Court has separate and distinct sessions which also reside in the District Court.
Plymouth County has four such District Courts, consisting of Brockton, Hingham, Plymouth and Wareham.
Each of these District Courts is staffed with a qualified team of Assistant District Attorneys who represent the Commonwealth at all stages of the criminal process in the District Courts from arraignment right through jury trial.
The District Court Division also represents the Commonwealth’s interest in all of the specialty courts of the District Court, including Drug Court, Mental Health Court and Veteran’s Court.
