BROCKTON – Three people have been indicted for their roles in the fatal stabbing of a man in Brockton, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
Today, a Plymouth County grand jury returned indictments charging Tynigel Belgrave, 28, with one count of Murder. Emerson Munguia, 19, was also indicted on one count of Murder. Tony Gomes, 35, was indicted on one count of Larceny from a Person.
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 12:17 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office was notified by Brockton Police of a potential stabbing homicide in the area of Spring Street.
Upon arrival, first responders located the male victim suffering from five stab wounds, including one to the neck. He was transported to Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as 27-year-old Steevenson Estimphil.
Troopers from the Plymouth County State Police Detective Unit, along with members of the Brockton Police Department, began a canvass of the surrounding area where the stabbing occurred. Through video surveillance and interviews conducted with witnesses, investigators learned that an altercation occurred outside in the parking lot of Jeff’s Place, an outreach program located at 26 Spring Street. Surveillance shows Estimphil being slammed to the ground and assaulted by multiple individuals. Three potential suspects were identified as Gomes, Munguia, and Belgrave. Gomes and Munguia were brought back to the Brockton Police Department, where they were interviewed and then placed under arrest. Belgrave was located at 148 Eastern Avenue in Worcester and was transported to the Worcester Police Department, where he was booked.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Alex Zane, and was investigated by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s State Police Detective Unit and Brockton Police.
