BROCKTON – A Kingston woman was killed and another man injured in a
head-on collision Thursday night in Plympton, Plymouth County District Attorney
Timothy J. Cruz announced today.
At approximately 6:15 pm on Thursday, Plympton Police were notified of a headon
collision in the area of #50 Route 106, County Road in Plympton. Upon arrival, police
and emergency personnel located the two vehicles and operators who were the sole
occupants in the vehicles. The female operator of one of the vehicles was determined to
be deceased on scene by paramedics. She has been identified as 52 year-old Diane
Giordani of Kingston. The male operator of the second vehicle was transported to Rhode
Island Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is not being identified at this time.
Plympton Police contacted State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth
County District Attorney’s Office, and State Police CARS Unit and Crime Scene
Services to investigate.
The crash remains under active investigation by State Police Detectives assigned
to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, Plympton Police, and the State Police
CARS Unit.
