BROCKTON- State Police and Brockton Police are investigating a shooting in Brockton that left one man dead and another man wounded, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced today.
At approximately 10:15 pm on Saturday, Brockton Police received a Shotspotter notification for multiple shots fired in the area of 139 Pleasant Street in Brockton. At that time, police also received a 911 call from a male shooting victim reporting that he had been shot. Brockton Police responded and located a vehicle parked in a lot at that address with two males suffering from gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. One victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital were he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Bethgy Cator (DOB: 03/10/92) of Avon.
The second male victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital before he was transported to Boston Medical Center. He is not being identified.
The investigation is active and ongoing by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police.
