Two Charged with Trafficking Fentanyl in Brockton

BROCKTON – Brockton Police and State Police Detectives assigned to the
Plymouth County District Attorney have arrested two men who were allegedly trafficking
Fentanyl in the City of Brockton, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz
has announced.

As part of a month-long investigation into drug distribution within Brockton,
Brockton Police Office identified Robert O’Connell (DOB: 01/14/86) and Brandon
Britton (DOB: 04/11/90) as conspiring to distribute Fentanyl to customers out of 966
Warren Avenue, #3, where the two men reside.

As a result of the investigation, Brockton Police sought and received a search
warrant for that location from Brockton District Court. At approximately 7 am this
morning, Brockton Police and State Police executed that warrant at 966 Warren Avenue
and O’Connell and Britton were arrested without incident.

Upon execution of the search warrant, Brockton Police seized approximately 100
grams of suspected Fentanyl, $1,300 in cash and drug distribution paraphernalia.
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned in Brockton District Court on one count
of Trafficking a Class B Substance, Fentanyl.

The investigation was conducted by Brockton Police, and their K9 Unit and
Narcotics Unit. State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District
Attorney’s Office assisted with execution of the search warrant this morning.
