Victim Identified As State Police, Brockton Police Continue Investigation Into Overnight Fatal Shooting

BROCKTON – State Police Detectives along with Brockton Police are investigating the fatal overnight shooting of a 21 year-old man, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

At approximately 12:48 a.m., Brockton Police received a ShotSpotter notification for multiple gunshots fired in the area of #15 Sprague Street. Upon arrival, Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel found a male victim located inside his vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Lifesaving measures were conducted before the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as Fabio Vega-Nunes, 21, of Brockton.

Brockton Police contacted State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. That investigation is active and ongoing.
