Brockton Man to Serve Four Years in State Prison on Fentanyl Charge

BROCKTON – A man who was distributing Fentanyl out of a Brockton apartment has been sent to State Prison, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

 Gildo Cardoso, 25, pleaded guilty today to one count of Distribution of a Class A Substance, Fentanyl. Brockton Superior Court Judge Elaine Buckley sentenced Cardoso to serve four years to four years and one day in State Prison.

In the weeks leading up to July 22, 2019, the Massachusetts State Police observed Cardoso conducting several suspected narcotics transactions in the parking lot of 103 Tribou Street in Brockton. As a result, State Police sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Cardoso was a passenger in a car that was stopped by Massachusetts State Police.

 Assistant District Attorney Brian Fahy prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Massachusetts State Police.
