BROCKTON – Two Brockton teens have been indicted on murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a city man, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
Today, a Plymouth County grand jury returned indictments charging Tashawn Brown, 17, of Brockton, and Jeremy Depina, 15, of Brockton, with one count each of Murder in the fatal shooting of Fabio Andrade-Monteiro, 22.
On February 10, 2022, just after 11 p.m., Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at 102 Ash Street. Upon arrival, police located a male victim, later identified as Andrade-Monteiro, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Brockton Police contacted Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and an investigation commenced. Police interviewed witnesses, reviewed surveillance video, and examined cell phone records. As a result of the investigation, two arrest warrants issued and Brown and Depina were taken into custody.
The pair are scheduled to be arraigned on the indictments in Brockton Superior Court at a later date.
Assistant District Attorneys Richard Linehan and Joshua Gedraitis are prosecuting the case, which was investigated by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police.
