Murder Complaint Issued For Woman In Deaths Of Two Children In Duxbury

BROCKTON – Criminal complaints have issued for a Duxbury woman accused of murdering her two children and seriously injuring a third, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

At approximately 6:11 p.m. last evening, Duxbury Police received a 911 call for a report of a suspected attempted suicide of a female resident who had jumped from a window at a home at 47 Summer Street.

Upon arrival, Duxbury Police and Fire located the woman and she was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment where she remains at this time. She is identified as Lindsay Clancy, 32.

First responders subsequently located three children in the basement under the ages of five, unconscious and with obvious signs of severe trauma.

A 5 year-old girl and a 3 year-old boy were transported to Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Plymouth where they were pronounced deceased. They have been identified as Cora Clancy and Dawson Clancy.

A 7-month old infant boy was medflighted to Boston Children’s hospital where he remains for treatment.

Duxbury Police contacted State Police in our office and an investigation commenced.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took jurisdiction of the deaths and will determine the manner and cause. Preliminarily, it appears the children were strangled.
