Man Indicted For 2023 Homicide In Brockton

BROCKTON – A man accused of the 2023 murder of a Quincy man has been indicted, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

Today, a Plymouth County grand jury indicted Kahmari T. Price, 17, on one count of Murder. Price is currently held without bail.

At approximately 10:27 p.m. on February 26, 2023, a Brockton Police officer on routine patrol heard a gunshot in the area of North Main and Spring Streets. Members of the Brockton Police Department responded to the scene, and in front of 54 North Main Street, discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He was identified as Mark Boyd, 33, of Quincy.

On April 1, Members of the MSP Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), with assistance from the MSP Critical Technical Investigations Team, tracked Kahmari Price, to a Worcester address, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Price’s wife, Tara Stone-Price has also been charged and pleaded not guilty to one count of Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

Kahmari Price will be arraigned on the charges at a later date.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Alexander Zane and Daniel Higgins, and was investigated by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police.
