BROCKTON- State Police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting Saturday night in Brockton that left one man dead and another man inured, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
As a result of an active and ongoing murder investigation since a fatal shooting in Brockton on Saturday night, State Police sought and obtained an arrest warrant yesterday for two people. The pair, Renardo Williams (DOB: 01/04/94) of Brockton, and Chanel Martins (DOB: 11/12/88 of Taunton, were wanted for their roles in the shooting that left 26-year-old Bethgy Cator dead, and another man still hospitalized with injuries.
Last night, State Police patrolling along Route 84 East in Sturbridge spotted and stopped the suspect’s vehicle and the man and woman were placed under arrest.
Williams faces Murder and Assault with Intent to Murder charges in the shooting of the two men, and Martins will be charged with Accessory After the Fact. Both are being transported to Brockton and will be arraigned today in Brockton District Court. The investigation is ongoing.
