BROCKTON – Two defendants have been indicted in connection with a coordinated organized retail crime spree that swept across eastern Massachusetts this summer, resulting in more than $30,000 in stolen high-end cosmetics and skincare products, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced today.
Morin Denisse Sanhueza Diaz, 31, and Kevin Andres Guzman Bernal, 22, are each charged with one count of Larceny Over $1,200 by a Single Scheme. Diaz and Bernal are alleged to have carried out a deliberate two-day theft operation targeting multiple Ulta Beauty locations across the Commonwealth between July 10 and July 11, 2025.
According to investigators, the pair traveled from Everett to Hingham, Braintree, Westwood, Taunton, Dartmouth, and Fall River, systematically stealing “prestige” brand products including Benefit, Dior, Chanel, Fenty Beauty, and NARS. Surveillance footage from each store shows Diaz concealing boxed cosmetics in a beige tote-style handbag while Bernal, dressed in dark clothing, acted as a lookout and concealed additional items in his waistband. In every location, both suspects wore identical clothing, consistent with continuous travel between stores during the same day.
The investigation—led by the Hingham, Fall River, Warwick, Taunton, Everett, and Dartmouth Police Departments, with coordination from corporate loss-prevention personnel—linked the two suspects through high-definition surveillance, consistent clothing, and SKU-level inventory loss data.
Diaz is currently in custody in another state, while Bernal remains held at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility. Both defendants are undocumented and in the United States illegally. They will appear in court on the indicted charges at a later date.
