Community Engagement Events-2025

To date District Attorney Tim Cruz has brought in over 27 million dollars in grant funding for Plymouth County communities. Both inside and outside the courtroom, District Attorney Cruz and his staff are working hard to advocate and raise awareness for the residents of Plymouth County so that they can better protect themselves.

District Attorney Cruz and his staff routinely conduct Cyber Safety trainings, Drug and Alcohol Awareness programs and Teen Relationship presentations to students and parents, so that they can make smart choices.  Through his Childhood Trauma Initiative, District Attorney Cruz continues to train schools on his “Handle with Care” program and other trauma sensitive practices to better serve children with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and those who are drug endangered. Additionally, District Attorney Cruz has created and implemented the Plymouth County Comfort Dogs program which allows comfort dogs to be available to assist not only in their community, but in all communities across Plymouth County.

District Attorney Cruz works to protect seniors in conjunction with the county’s TRIAD programs.  During the pandemic, District Attorney Cruz hosted regular virtual trainings for seniors to get them information and resources on how to protect themselves against scammers.

District Attorney Cruz supports various restorative justice programs and partners with the Plymouth County Sheriff to hold job fairs for those who have been justice involved.

District Attorney Cruz also partners with community groups to address issues such as domestic violence, underage drinking, opioids, and elder abuse in an effort to make Plymouth County a safe place to live and work.
