BROCKTON – A 69-year-old woman drowned at the beach in Hull on Sunday, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
At approximately 1:56 pm yesterday, Hull Police and Fire received a 911 call for a report of an unresponsive woman who had been pulled from the water in the area of 123 Beach Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders observed bystanders attempting to perform lifesaving efforts on the female victim. Emergency medical personnel tended to the victim and she was transported to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth where she was later pronounced dead. The woman has been identified as Amy White (DOB: 06/03/50) of Hull.
Hull Police contacted State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and the incident is under investigation, but no foul play is suspected.
