BROCKTON – A Duxbury man has been indicted on charges that he secretly took photos and videos of four underage, unsuspecting female victims, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.
Today, a Plymouth County Grand Jury returned 58 indictments against
Christopher Barlow (DOB: 12/13/96) of Duxbury, charging him with Dissemination of
Visual Material of A Child in a State of Nudity or Sexual Conduct, Possession of Child Pornography, Posing or Exhibiting a Child in a State of Nudity, Secret Photographing/Video Recording of a Nude Person, and Extortion.
In June, 2017, as part of a firearms investigation, Duxbury Police executed a search warrant at Barlow’s home. During the search, police seized three electronic devices from Barlow, a Razor laptop, an iPhone, and an external hard drive. As part of the investigation, police observed and estimated that on diverse dates between December, 2014 and June, 2017, Barlow allegedly secretly took photos and videos of four underage female victims and then stored and shared hundreds of digital files of the images on his electronic devices. The victims depicted in various states of undress. The indictments further allege that Barlow told two of the victims he had uploaded their images to a pornographic website and would continue to do so unless they shared further images with Barlow.
Barlow will be arraigned on the charges on August 15 before Superior Court Judge Brian Davis, who is sitting in Suffolk County.
Assistant District Attorney Nathaniel Kennedy is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by the Duxbury Police Department.
