Parent Night- “Not My Kid”- Furnace Brook Middle School- Marshfield- May 2022
|Thank you Marshfield FACTS and Marshfield Public Schools for having Officer Nancy Leedberg, Brockton PD and Detective Chip Yeaton, Canton PD present the parent substance use prevention program, “Not My Kid.”
Officer Leedberg a School Resource Officer, is well respected in her field and carries a wealth of experience working in both in the Brockton schools and the Brockton community. Officer Leedberg brought new comfort dog Bonnie along. Bonnie, a member of the Brockton Police Department, is one of our Plymouth County Comfort Dogs.
Detective Yeaton is a Special Advisor to the Massachusetts Task Force Report on School Safety and Security.
It was a pleasure to speak to the parents who came out to learn how to keep their kids safe.

Human Trafficking Task Force Meeting- May 2022
We began in 2020 with a grant and a shared vision with Health Imperatives for a human trafficking task force.
We now have 60 agencies – law enforcement, service providers, state agencies and other organizations on board.
Our efforts to combat Human Trafficking in Plymouth County are stronger because of all of you.

CAC Breakfast- May 2022
CDC data reports in 2021 more than 37% of high school students reported experiencing poor mental health during COVID-19.
Our CAC breakfast gathered professionals to discuss childhood trauma and our work to intervene so that these teens move forward to live fulfilling lives.

East Bridgewater TRIAD SALT Breakfast- May 2022
Hotcakes with a side of hot takes as we presented our office’s CyberSense online safety training to seniors at the East Bridgewater TRIAD’s annual S.A.L.T. breakfast.
East Bridgewater’s own Police and Fire Departments as well as the District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Department were on hand to cook and serve a delicious breakfast of pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs.
Immediately following the breakfast, District Attorney Tim Cruz and Assistant District Attorney, Amanda Fowle talked to the seniors about scams, safety and sensibility when interacting with the
Internet.ADA Fowle has been handling cyber crimes for over 5 years for the Plymouth County District Office.

Today we bid a fond farewell to admin extraordinaire Joanne Murphy, who for the past seven years has kept our Plymouth courthouse office in order.
We wish Joanne the best in her retirement, enjoy the next chapter!

Participating in a frank discussion today with Hingham school officials, police, and MIAA on the consequences of youth substance use.

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Task Force- April 2022
Our Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Task Force has been working now for 5 years.
We have received 438 CSEC referrals since it’s inception.
The response to each CSEC case has been individual, and a collaborative effort with our law enforcement and community partners.

Pre-Prom Mock Crash Event-Whitman Hanson Regional High School- April 26, 2022
Prom/graduation season is here.
Whitman Hanson Regional High School hosted their annual mock crash presentation.
Event organizers are hoping that this re-enactment on the impact of impaired driving will hit home with their students.
Thank you to the Whitman Hanson Regional School District for allowing this reenactment to take place.
Thank you to the Police Departments and Fire Departments of Whitman and Hanson, Richard MacKinnon of MacKinnon Funeral Home, and the MedFlight helicopter for coordinating their efforts to make this event happen.

Handle with Care- Training for Faith Leaders- Childhood Trauma Inititiative- 4.22.22
Our office along with Joel Ristuccia from Trauma & Learning Policy Initiative (TLPI) trained faith leaders on understanding the impact of trauma on a child’s behavior and ability to learn.
Next step solution – addressing these with examples of trauma sensitive supports for all students and children.

This Marathon Eve we’re wishing all the best to the over 30,000 athletes who will make the 26.2 mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston.
Special shout out to our victim witness advocate Danielle Smith, who will embark on her 13th Boston Marathon to benefit Cops For Kids for Cancer.
